My top 10 smoothie bowls

I know, I know, this post is a bit overdue, but well… it has been Christmas and New Years… you know the drill. You just want to hang out with your boyfriend and watch anime and films on those days. I’m sure you’re just the same as me in those matters ;)

Tomorrow I am coming back to school after a long Christmas break. It was a truly needed break. Especially when it comes to loving my body the way it is and coming back on track after a few terrible days before the break. You might ask: Coming back on track? But people come back on track  a f t e r not b e f o  r e Christmas? 0.0 For me it was the other way around. A few days before I was eating very little food, due to a different schedule on those days and I was generally not thinking about food. That was why I gained a little bit of weight (not eating results in overeating which leads to constipation and weight gain…) and then I limited my food intake very much. Yep… it comes back. To everyone unfortunately… But during this break I tried to eat raw till 4 and it works fabulous! Now I just have to maintain this lifestyle, so eat quite regularly and mostly raw vegan and I will be just fine. Also, eating this much carbs really really influenced my mood and how I view myself. I actually started to like my body even if I look a bit more curvy (in my opinion). You have to be healthy skinny not too skinny. Remember!

But, I should stop rambling and get into the actual post :D

I wanted to share with you my top 10 favourite smoothie bowls. I like to add ground flaxseed to mine to get omega acids, improve my digestion and thicken it up a little (like and share if you like thick smoothie bowls! 👍).

Greens:

#1 The easiest green smoothie bowl

• handful of kale
• 1-2 bananas
• half an avocado
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: banana, raisins

#2 My go-to breakfast smoothie bowl

• handful of kale
• 1-2 bananas
• half an avocado
• 1 orange
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: banana, frozen strawberries

#3 Sweet summer green smoothie bowl

• handful of kale
• 1-2 bananas
• 2-3 peaches (I used canned peaches so I don’t remember how many it was)
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: banana, kiwi, raisins, shredded coconut

#4 The best tropical green smoothie bowl

• handful of kale
• 1-2 bananas
• around 6 rings of a canned pineapple
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: persimmon, tangerine, dried figs, pineapple

#5 Tropical green smoothie bowl

• handful of kale
• 1-2 bananas
• half an avocado
• handful of papaya chunks
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: papaya, strawberries, orange, dates

#6 Lychee and basil green smoothie bowl

• handful of spinach
• 1-2 bananas
• 4-5 lychee fruits (I used canned so they were super sweet, but if you’re using fresh lychee then perhaps add more)
• 4 fresh basil leaves
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: banana, grapefruit, raisins

Pinks and purples:

#7 Strawberry pink smoothie bowl

• 2 bananas
• handful of strawberries
• 1 kiwi
• a pinch of cinnamon, ginger and turmeric to taste
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: banana, strawberries, raisins, shredded coconut

#8 Purple goddess smoothie bowl

• 2-3 bananas
• 2-3 peaches (again, I used canned and I don’t remember how many it was)
• 1-2 Tbsp home made extremely sour blackcurrant jam (fresh blackcurrants or fresh bilberries/European blueberries would be much better)
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: persimmon, raisins, shredded coconut

Chocolate:

#9 Chocolate coffee smoothie bowl

• 2-3 bananas
• a dash of oatmeal (roughly 1/4 of a cup)
• 1-2 Tbsp dark cacao powder
• 1-2 tsp instant coffee
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: kiwi, banana, raisins, cinnamon

#10 Sweet chocolate smoothie bowl

• 2 bananas
• 2 very small pears
• 1-2 Tbsp dark cacao powder
• a splash of oat milk or water
• a dash of ground flaxseed (optional)
• toppings: walnuts, raisins, shredded coconut
